Greg has been fortunate to have a love for all styles of music.  All music has something that makes it special and tick and Greg finds it. Greg has played and studied classical music and instruments at Boise State University where he enjoyed a full ride music scholarship. His instructor was Dr. John Baldwin who also was the president of the National Percussive Arts Society.

Early on in his musical career he loved, listened, and played mostly jazz both in big bands to small combos. Diverse styles from Dixie, to Modern Jazz and Fusion. He was fortunate to have played with Gene Harris, Dee (Skeets) Shaw, Chuck Findley, Bill Watrous, Brent Jensen, Gary Burton, Chuck Magione, Big Tiny Little, Freddie Green, The Kings of Swing, Saxy Four, The Frim Fram Four, Brian Nova, Joe Foss, Curtis Stigers, Pete Peterson, George Rock (of Spike Jones band), Charlie May, Mark Levine, Rolando Ortega, among many others.

Growing up in the Chicago area then Houston the radio always found its way to Soul and Funk which Greg also fell in love with. With older sisters in the house and being performers they forced Greg to learn to sing, dance and perform for guests and neighbors early in life.

He knows what it’s like to live on the road for literally years at a time.
